Salary: £12.75 per hour

Join our team as a General Assistant / Barista at IAG Cargo (Heathrow Airport, United Kingdom)

We’re looking for a friendly, customer-focused individual to create exceptional experiences for our guests while crafting delicious beverages, providing top-notch service, and supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customer specifications; Operate and maintain café equipment; Take customer orders and process transactions accurately; Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards; Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly; Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours; Restock supplies and assist with inventory management; Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers; Support the wider team with general duties, including cleaning, stock rotation, setting up and closing down service areas, and assisting in other departments as required to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service (desirable but not essential – full training provided); Barista skills or a strong interest in learning coffee preparation techniques; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Positive, friendly, and professional manner; Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required; Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment; Flexibility to work varied shifts; Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (training provided); Good numeracy skills for handling transactions and basic stock counts; Commitment to delivering excellent service and creating positive customer experiences
