General Labour- Metal Product Assembly- Doors

The Metal Door/Storefront Assembler is focused on the general assembly of doors/framing using hand, power tools and fabrication equipment, while producing a high-end product safely and reports to the Fabrication Lead Hand. This role is perfect for an individual who pays attention to details, a team player, and loves to build. A vital member of the Fabrication Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

Safely perform work as assigned by Lead Hand in a timely manner; By referring to fabrication package, locate specific product in the facility, assemble per instructions; Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others; Recognize product defects and notify management team immediately of any issues; Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels

Requirements

Experience reading and understanding fabrication drawings; Experience using powered industrial tools and taking precise measurements; Regular and predictable attendance; safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions; Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands; Possess organizational skills; Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight or more hours; Must be able to wear company issued PPE; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; Be able to remain in an upright position for long periods of time
