General Service Technician | Up to $20/HR & Weekends Off | Inver Grove Heights

Responsibilities

Perform all general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments; Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections; Work closely with the service department to communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions; Work alongside a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively; Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections; Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA right-to-know and hazardous waste disposal); Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping functions as directed by management

Requirements

A positive, energetic attitude and a strong work ethic; Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow; Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the service team; Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance; Current driver's licenses; Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds; Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head; Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair; Have the needed dexterity to efficiently use hand-tools; Walk/stand for the majority of the workday; Drive manual transmission vehicles; Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment; Efficiently navigate a computer

Nice to have

Valid driver's license (preferred); High school or equivalent diploma (preferred, not required)
