Global Head of Expansion

Blank Street is seeking a Head of Global Expansion to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This role will develop frameworks and conduct deep market research to evaluate demand, economics, operational complexity, and long-term potential across new markets. Make confident decisions on new market entry and operating structure, including JV, Franchise, and O&O models. Set direction, consolidate cross-functional inputs, and determine recommendations presented to the founders. Own market entry end-to-end, partnering across legal, finance, supply chain, real estate, recruiting, and marketing. Act as the marketing director for new markets and support the US and UK Presidents on P&L and day-to-day market performance.

Responsibilities

Develop frameworks and conduct deep market research to evaluate demand, economics, operational complexity, and long-term potential across new markets; Make decisions on new market entry and operating structure, including JV, Franchise, and O&O models; Own market entry end-to-end, partnering with legal, finance, supply chain, real estate, recruiting, and marketing; Set direction, consolidate cross-functional inputs, and determine recommendations presented to the founders; Act as the marketing director for new markets; Support the US and UK Presidents on P&L and day-to-day market performance, effectively acting as the MD during launch phase; Recruit roles for the market, support store operations, improve product and customer experience, and guide overall financial performance; Lead recruitment and onboarding of a Managing Director once a market reaches sufficient scale and maturity

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, or closely related; 3 years of experience in job offered, or 3 years as a business management consultant; 3 years of experience in PowerPoint and Excel; 3 years of experience in Tableau; 3 years of experience in Alteryx
