Grocery Sales Associate

The associate is responsible for keeping the Grocery department stocked, organized and appealing, providing customer service, maintaining sanitation and productivity standards, and performing other duties as assigned. This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales; Builds displays to drive incremental sales; Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness; Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner; Applies proper stocking techniques and ensures merchandise is in saleable condition with correct prices and signs; May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries using power jack or hand jack (training provided); Handles damaged or discontinued items according to company policy; Maintains general sanitation in the department and follows cleaning schedules; Maintains productivity standards and shrink control; Complies with security regulations and policies; May assist with baling cardboard; Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors; Continuously improves job performance; Uses all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); May assist in other departments

Requirements

Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); No prior experience required
