Grooming Salon Leader, Petsense

This position is responsible for interacting with customers and associates, supporting selling initiatives and performing assigned tasks, while providing WOW! customer service.

Responsibilities

Interacting with customers and associates; supporting selling initiatives; maintaining regular and predictable attendance; safe pet handling; bathing, drying, brushing and combing all coat types; nail trimming; ear cleaning; preparatory hair trimming; basic clipper techniques; basic finishing techniques; ensuring safety and well-being of animals; inspecting animals for external signs of parasites, disease or injury and reporting findings to pet owners; sanitizing and maintaining grooming tools and equipment; assisting in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, follow-up phone calls and reminders; maintaining records of pet clients; operating computer as needed; recovering store if needed.

Requirements

Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats; Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion for animals; Must provide own tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing purchase required tools; High school diploma or equivalent required; Completed Level 1 Paragon Training and received certification through Petsense; Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered; Regardless of education level, Associates must be able to read, write and count accurately.
