The stylist is responsible for servicing customers in a friendly, professional way and understanding that the customer's satisfaction is of utmost importance. The stylist will accomplish this by following the SmartStyle Brand Standards. Utilizing a thorough consultation procedure to ensure that every customer's expectations are exceeded is part of the commitment a stylist makes when becoming an employee.

Responsibilities

Service customers in a friendly, professional way; Follow SmartStyle Brand Standards; Utilize a thorough consultation procedure to ensure every customer's expectations are exceeded; Wash, shampoo, condition, and rinse hair; Cut, trim, and style hair using clippers, scissors, trimmers, razors & hot tools; Perm, highlight, and color hair based on customer instructions; Maintain clean workstation; Sanitize tools and equipment; Recommend products to help customers maintain hairstyles between salon visits; Perform receptionist duties when no receptionist is available; Perform opening/closing procedures as applicable; Assist in counting retail product inventory; Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements

Successful completion of cosmetology curriculum; Valid Ontario Cosmetology License or currently enrolled in school to obtain the required license; Excellent verbal and written communication; Exceptional customer service; Service orientation; Time management; Positive energy; Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Experience as a stylist; Basic computer & email skills
