Heavy Machine Operator

We are looking for skilled Heavy Machine Operators to support ongoing civil and infrastructure projects across the Wellington region. If you operate with care, communicate well on site, and value doing the job properly, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Operating machinery safely and efficiently on active civil sites; Completing earthworks, roading, drainage, and general infrastructure tasks; Working to levels, grades, and site plans where required; Carrying out daily pre-start checks and reporting faults or maintenance needs; Supporting the crew on the ground when required and keeping sites tidy and safe

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a civil construction environment; WTR licence/endorsement required; Strong health and safety focus and awareness of working around services/people; Reliable attendance, solid communication, and a team-first attitude; Ability to pass standard pre-employment checks; Current right to work in New Zealand; Pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening test; Pass Ministry of Justice criminal background checks

Class 2 and/or 4 licences
