High Voltage Chargeman (Shift)

Responsibilities

Perform electrical switching, isolation, and testing in accordance with licensing requirements and safety standards; Conduct round checks at all incoming substations (CLS) Campus wide; Lead all MV generator routine test run as per Preventive Maintenance plan; Support and assist with critical troubleshooting work and fault diagnostic on all electrical equipment Campus wide; Lead and support emergency response during incidents; Support and accompany DC Ops/contractors to enter MV Power Module; Work closely with engineers and advise with MOP & SOP development for electrical system; Ensure their Chargeman certification is valid and registered with Energy Commission under DayOne

Requirements

At least a valid B0-11kV Chargeman certificate; 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical systems; Strong understanding of UPS, switchgear, grounding systems, generators, and other electrical infrastructure; Ability to supervise and guide technicians; Good understanding of workplace safety and LOTO practices; Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents; Willing to work on a 12 hour shift
