Hotel Kitchen Steward

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation, waste removal, and assisting with basic kitchen support tasks while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, back-of-house areas, and food service equipment; Operate large commercial dishwasher equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; Hand scrub pots and pans; burnish, de-tarnish, and polish silver; Properly handle/store dinnerware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment; Deep cleaning and preventive maintenance for kitchen and stewarding equipment; Remove trash and food waste according to safety standards; Ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained; Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks as needed; Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines; Report safety or maintenance concerns promptly

Energetic, cooperative, and detail-oriented; Works well with others and highly dependable; Takes pride in maintaining cleanliness standards; Ability to manage high-pressure situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Previous stewarding or commercial dishwashing experience in a full-service restaurant or similar food service environment; Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff; Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation; Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.; Ability to stand for extended periods; Frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping; Food Handler Certification; Flexible availability required across AM, PM, and Mid-Shift rotations; Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends, holidays, and special event periods
