Housekeeping Supervisor

Assist the department managers in the overall operation of the department by completing assigned duties, and by serving in the capacity of the department manager in his/her absence of the manager.

Responsibilities

Train and supervise employees.; Use verbal and written communication between departments and co-workers.; Monitor performance to ensure adequate cleanliness and stock level of guest rooms.; Physically inspect guest rooms.; Assist with establishing department guidelines, rules and regulations, and training programs.; Handle customer complaints and concerns.; Prepare requisitions, reports, correspondence, and forms relative to the operations of the department.; Operate vacuum cleaners and shampoo machines.; Clean and dust, including closest shelves, picture frames, mirrors, tubs and showers.; Lead special projects as assigned

Requirements

Two (2) years of related supervisory, training or work experience preferred.; Knowledgeable about proper housekeeping techniques, implements, and handling of chemicals.; Must have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.; Must be able to perform all duties of a Guest Room Attendant, including but not limited to: vacuuming, changing linens, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.; High school diploma or equivalent required.; Must be computer literate. Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses
