HSCA HARNESS APPLICATION ENGINEER

Responsibilities

Conduct value analysis and value engineering activities to optimize product design, improve functionality, and reduce costs; Lead and contribute to the design and development of wiring harness systems for automotive applications; Utilize CAD tools such as CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to create detailed wiring harness designs; Manage design changes throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to change control processes and procedures; Generate and release engineering drawings, schematics, and charts in accordance with internal standards and industry regulations; Participate in all phases of product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and validation; Utilize PLM software to manage product data, documentation, and revisions throughout the product lifecycle; Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering specifications; Coordinate changes to the BOM and communicate updates to relevant teams and suppliers

Requirements

Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc or M.Sc degree) with Automotive experience; Fluent communication in English; Experienced in technical customer meetings; Hands on mentality and strong communication skills to coordinate technical requirements and topics between interdisciplinary departments (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Validation, Sales); Experience in CAD (Siemens NX), IATF 16949 requirements, procedures of D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Controll plan, and creation of risk assessments
