Implementation & Activation Director (Social)

Lead the paid social presence for NAB within WPP Media (Mindshare). The role oversees social strategy, drives media ROI and customer acquisition, leads a team of three social specialists, and acts as a trusted digital consultant to the client, based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

Spearhead Social Strategy: oversee planning, activation, and continuous optimisation of paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and Snap; Drive Real Business Outcomes: impact media ROI, acquire customers efficiently, and generate tangible revenue for the client; Empower a Brilliant Team: lead, coach, and nurture a team of three social specialists; Be the Trusted Consultant: bring the client the latest platform updates, opportunities, and expert counsel; Unearth 'So What' Insights: translate complex platform data into clear, actionable insights that guide campaign improvements

Requirements

10+ years of agency experience; Proven background in paid digital media performance; Command of major social platforms; Proven leadership, having managed and mentored a team of at least two direct reports; Analytical rigour with performance metrics such as CPA and ROI; Exceptional communication skills to present evidence-led recommendations to senior client stakeholders; Holistic media mindset, understanding how social synergises with Programmatic and Search
