Interim Head of Financial Planning

The Client is looking for an experienced / strong Head of Financial Planning with significant LG experience. It is a team of 3 currently, which will be increasing to 4. This year, this authority has a balanced budget, giving them room to now look at housekeeping rather than finding savings. They will require: Someone that knows what good looks like in this area; More focus on change and transformation; improving processes is critical; The need to be positive, pragmatic and drive forward change; Overseeing MTFS model, improving this and looking at how different budgets feed in; Budget setting / budget review; Statutory returns – RE/RO. Relevant professional qualification: CCAB or equivalent Accreditation. Assignment length: initial 6 months. Full time: Hybrid – at least 1 day a week on site. Start date: ASAP.
