Jacket Operator (Weekend Shift, Nights)

The Jacket Operator is responsible for setting up and running the final extrusion on assembled product. The Jacket Operator is also responsible for producing a quality product in a safe and efficient manner while promoting a team atmosphere. Help problem solve and proactively seek ways to improve the Jacketing process and maintain all equipment in the Jacket work center.

Responsibilities

Set-up and run the Jacketing extrusion; Set-up and run for different product types for different customer specifications; Read and understand work orders; Document deviations; Reprocess nonconforming product; Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product meets specifications; Clean and maintain all tooling associated with the Jacket line equipment; Keep work area clean and organized; Recommend process improvements; Work as a team with other Jacket Operators and other Dekoron employees; Promote safety in all processes and activities; Assist with training of new employees; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School diploma or GED; Ability to distinguish between different colors of product; Ability to lift at least 60 pounds; Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, and reach; Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials; Ability to wear common protective and safety equipment; Near Vision; Far Vision; Manual Dexterity; Multi-limb coordination

Nice to have

Technical training; Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting with responsibilities in the area of extrusion
