KERING Accountant - R2R

Based in Shanghai FSSC, the R2R Accountant plays a role in driving high-quality and efficient financial closing for assigned entities. Focuses on financial closing, account reconciliation, and reporting accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Own and optimize the financial closing and reporting cycle; Serve as a vital link between Shanghai and HK/Macau operations; Manage day-to-day accounting and own key closing activities including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments; Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing; Prepare accurate and compliant statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP with variance analysis; Perform balance sheet reconciliation and follow up on open items; Serve as first line of defense for financial controls; Support internal and external audits; Proactively monitor accounting issues and escalate risks; Collaborate with in-house brand finance to resolve discrepancies; Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives in R2R cycle leveraging SAP (FICO); Participate in cross-functional finance projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience; Strong hands-on experience in month-end activities, balance sheet control, and issue resolution; In-depth practical knowledge of HKFRS/MFRS and IFRS; Mandatory proficiency in SAP (FI/CO modules); Excellent command of written and spoken English; Analytical skills with attention to detail; Strong ownership and accountability in handling closing activities independently; Ability to maintain effective relationships across borders in a multicultural environment; High degree of professionalism and integrity; Continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have

Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, HKICPA); SAP S/4HANA experience; Background in luxury retail, retail, or FMCG
