Reporting to the Chief Steward, we are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team.

The Kitchen Steward is a key role within our culinary team, working closely together to ensure our kitchens are organised and clean, ready to deliver to our guests.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.; Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.; Rinse dirty crockery and cutlery, stack in the dishwasher, unload and put away.; Wash pots by hand; Ensure that all F&B outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment.; Use correct handling techniques to transport and store food items.; Wipe down benches.; Sweep and mop floors.; Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.

Requirements

Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.; Have an enthusiastic "can-do" attitude and a positive and motivated demeanour.; Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays as required.; Motivated & committed to work with our passionate team.; Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable).; Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.; An understanding on stock management and general kitchen cleaning skills.; Adhere to safe work practices.; Strong communication skills.; Have a good work ethic and be a team player.
