Lab Assistant I-Crusoe

Provides phlebotomy expertise, decision making, and problem solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of phlebotomy procedures. Performs the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of patient specimens for tests performed by the laboratory. Job Type: PRN-PRN. Shift: Second Shift (United States of America). Primary Location: Baptist Medical Center East.

Performs the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of patient specimens for tests performed by the laboratory; Provides phlebotomy expertise, decision making, and problem solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of phlebotomy procedures; Travel between facilities as required

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab; Exceptional customer service skills; Proficiency in utilization of personal computer skills; Position requires frequent prolonged standing/walking; Requires occasional lifting of supplies/equipment up to 25 lbs; Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity; Exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and electrical shock risk
