Laboratory Technician

Novo Nordisk is looking for a Laboratory Operations Technician to support the day-to-day running of our laboratory facilities in Oxford.

Responsibilities

Support laboratory safety and EH&S compliance; Coordinate waste management, autoclaving, and laboratory decontamination activities; Schedule and oversee cleaning of incubators, biosafety cabinets, and laboratory areas; Manage laboratory supplies, inventory, and consumables; Coordinate deliveries, shipments, and loading dock operations; Support equipment setup, maintenance, and vendor servicing activities; Conduct routine facility inspections, including safety equipment checks; Manage the lab coat program and maintain required documentation; Perform general laboratory housekeeping and operational support tasks

Requirements

Experience in a laboratory, facilities, operations, or technical support environment; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures; Ability to perform hands-on tasks, including equipment setup and inventory management; Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or research environments; Experience with autoclaves, laboratory equipment, or facility support services; First Aid/CPR or other health & safety certifications
