Land Survey Field Technician

A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our office in Washington, DC. This position requires NO previous survey experience. As part of this team, you will receive on the job training and support. Responsibilities

Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief; Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector; Open and investigate utility manholes; Set survey points with sledgehammer; Set survey points on construction sites; Stock survey supplies in survey vehicle; Perform daily field survey activities as directed by the survey crew chief

Requirements

High School Diploma; 0-1 years of experience; Entry level position; Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members; Positive attitude and professional bearing; Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally; Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment; Valid Driver's License

Nice to have

Certified Survey Technician; Associates Degree in Land Surveying or GIS; Bachelors in Land Surveying or GIS; Basic knowledge of field surveying procedures
