Laundry Attendant

Newly redesigned Holiday Inn Express New Orleans Downtown, 129 rooms, located in the heart of the Central Business District. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient cleaning, processing, and distribution of all hotel linens and terry. This role ensures laundry items are handled according to brand and company standards and supports the housekeeping team with timely and accurate linen delivery. Department: Housekeeping. Supervision Exercised: None. Supervision Received: Housekeeping Manager/Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and terry according to hotel standards; Operate laundry equipment safely and report maintenance issues promptly; Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas; Monitor laundry supply levels and alert management when ordering is needed; Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and remove items as needed; Deliver clean linens to storage rooms or floors as directed; Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper chemical use; Assist the housekeeping team with additional tasks when needed; Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Ability to operate commercial washers, dryers, and folding equipment; Strong attention to detail and quality standards; Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs; Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions; Good time management skills and ability to work independently

Nice to have

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience; Hospitality environment experience; Knowledge of laundry chemicals and safety procedures
