Laundry Sorter - On Call

Responsible for dumping, picking, separating, and sorting soiled sheets, towels, pillow cases, bathmats and washcloths, table tops, napkins, aprons, bar mops, and housekeeping rags to appropriate bins/slings along designated sorting conveyor line.

Responsibilities

Dump, pick up, separate, and sort product on the belt in a consistent manner to help ensure smooth product flow and improved productivity; Discern type of article picked up and deposit in the appropriate bin/sling to complete the separating and sorting operation; Maintain organization, cleanliness and safety practices within the sortation area; Wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety training; Other duties and tasks as assigned by Management

Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift; Other physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and bending; Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Nice to have

Six (6) months of experience in a high volume laundry production environment preferred; Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
