Lead - Financial Solutions

The Financial Solutions team, part of Fidelity’s Strategic Advisors Inc., is the central team that develops financial solutions and planning methodologies offered to our retail and workplace customers. As Lead, Financial Solutions, the candidate will be part of the Financial Solutions India Team at Strategic Advisors Inc., driving the development of advanced financial methodologies that underpin Fidelity’s planning and advisory offerings for both retail and workplace clients. The role entails executing the long-term strategic vision for financial planning frameworks and spearheading the creation of innovative financial solutions.

Responsibilities

Driving the development of advanced financial methodologies; executing the long-term strategic vision for financial planning frameworks; spearheading the creation of innovative financial solutions; translating real-world problems into robust mathematical models; designing new mathematical frameworks tailored to each distinct problem; partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including business leaders, asset management, technology, and legal teams; developing sophisticated prototypes to illustrate complex financial planning concepts

Requirements

Advanced degree in quantitative field (Masters, PhD); CFA / FRM / CPA / Actuary / MS Finance etc.; Strong knowledge of quantitative investment theories; 5+ years of experience in field of investment / asset management; Strong knowledge of optimization techniques is must, including advanced competency in Gurobi; Strong knowledge about US retirement system and taxation; Strong knowledge of AI/ML and LLMs – fine-tuning, domain adaptation etc.; Knowledge of front end and back-end web development to develop and deploy a web-based prototype; Python / R / Gurobi; Demonstrated critical thinking, sound judgment, and proactive initiative; Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities; Proven ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure, and evolving work environments; Deep passion for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering innovative financial products and solutions; Exceptional communication skills; Ability to build and sustain trusted relationships; Intellectually curious, fostering a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching; Committed to developing a well-rounded skill set
