Lead Foreman Right-of-Way Division

Lead Foreman are responsible to supervise and coordinate the activities of vegetation management crews to ensure that their work is safe, efficient and meets quality standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of vegetation management crews to ensure that their work is safe, efficient and meets quality standards; Prepare project for work and assure work is completed in the most efficient and productive way possible; Schedule/mobilize labor, equipment, material and tools to be on site when needed; Instruct Crew Leaders in work scheduling, processes, procedures, locations; Make frequent work site visits to inspect work in progress and monitor productivity and safety; Work together with utility foresters/inspectors to clarify work specifications, coordinate work audits/inspections and address customers issues; Respond to customer or property owner complaints; Organize and coordinate crew mobilization and dispatch activity during storm-damage response; Take lead role in safety to ensure the well being of employees, customers and the public; Manage personnel training and development, communication, discipline and conflict resolution; Maintain records and documentation; Review and verify weekly timesheets and approve extraordinary expenses

Requirements

Experience operating heavy clearing equipment; Knowledge of and ability to use computers and related technology to perform fundamental tasks; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software; Candidates must be flexible to travel when called upon since work locations are subject to change upon short notice based on contract demands
