Lead Mechanical Engineer

Maintains responsibility for mechanical engineering design in support of renovations and additions to University facilities.

Responsibilities

Maintains responsibility for mechanical engineering design in support of renovations and additions to University facilities; Provides full range of professional mechanical engineering services in all phases of research, design and construction; Mentors and trains new or lower level engineers; Manages and coordinates in-house mechanical design projects; Provides professional advice and judgment in application of building and fire codes; Prepares recommendations on building maintenance; Maintains authority to seal and certify drawings; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to have

Master's degree preferred; New York State Mechanical Engineer license preferred
