Legal Contract Specialist - Fixed Term

We are hiring a Commercial In-House Lawyer to our Legal team! This position can be based out of Madrid (Spain), Milan (Italy), or London (UK) in a hybrid model, or as a Remote – Spain, Italy, or UK position, meaning you can work from anywhere within these specified countries. This is a Fixed Term position - 1 year contract. This role is integral to supporting our fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly expanding business, with a dedicated focus on supporting the German revenue team and market. As part of our European Legal team, you will act as a trusted advisor, navigating complex legal frameworks, supporting business strategy, and shaping our internal processes for Germany.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and contractual due diligences for the German market; Serve as trusted advisor and legal expert for the German market; Assess and optimize contract processes, templates, and contract lifecycles; Drive adoption of Legal Tech, AI, and CLM solutions; Develop and deliver training materials and SOPs; Live the mission and support wellbeing in the workplace

Requirements

Law Degree from a European country; At least 4 years of experience handling commercial contracts with significant time in-house or within a multinational environment; Prior experience in commercial contract negotiation; Advanced fluent proficiency in both German and English, with German fluency an absolute must; Practical experience implementing, training, or significantly using AI-powered contract review, CLM systems, or legal automation tools; Expert in European contract law with deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks; Strategic and collaborative partner skilled at explaining complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders; Proactive problem solver with business acumen, strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and sound judgment; Adaptable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple time-sensitive projects

Nice to have

German legal qualification; Fluency in Romanian, French, Italian or Spanish; Experience working specifically in the German market
