Licensed Mental Health Evaluator, Part Time Evenings, Behavioral Health, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Medical Center is looking for an experienced and dynamic Licensed Mental Health Evaluator to join the Inpatient Behavioral Health Service Line at Baptist in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Part Time Evening shift working 3pm to 11:30pm Saturday and Sunday, or Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm. Mental Health Evaluators work in an inpatient hospital setting in the Behavioral Health unit, assessing patients' psychological and emotional well-being, particularly during acute episodes of mental illness. The team is located at the Baptist Jacksonville campus and evaluates behavioral health patients arriving at all 10 Baptist EDs in the system. BLS is required at onboarding. CPI, EMTALA, and Baker Act training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment and is provided. Other annual competencies are required and provided on the internal learning management system.

Responsibilities

Complete psychosocial and suicide assessments of patients in the ED in person or via telehealth; Complete maternal mental health consults and pediatric trauma screenings on weekends when necessary; Assess adult and pediatric patients consulted by ED physicians; Collaborate with the psychiatry provider to arrive at a disposition of admission or discharge and facilitate the result; Work in Epic, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Teledoc as daily workflow; Work with the credentialing department and Medical Staff Office to obtain hospital privileges to become billing provider before seeing patients

Requirements

Florida LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT required; Masters of Science (MS); Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI) Required; Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Licensed Clinical Social Worker Required Or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Required Or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Required Or Driver's License (DMV); 1-2 experience in a behavioral health setting
