Litigation Associate

Busy litigation boutique law firm in New Haven County, CT looking to hire a mid-level associate, as described below:

Responsibilities

Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations; Take and defend depositions of parties and fact witnesses; Research factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy; Draft pleadings, memoranda, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs; Examine records and transactions, underlying business disputes, and potential client claims; Work across a variety of litigation practice areas including but not limited to antitrust, class actions, unfair trade practices, business disputes, and employment

Requirements

2-5+ years of litigation experience; Work out of New Haven County office (full-time in office); Admission to the Connecticut Bar (required); Experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice

Nice to have

Federal or state judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required; Prior experience in commercial litigation preferred but not required
