Live In Care Professional

Home Instead is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. We are looking for an experienced Live-In Care Professional to support a long-standing female client in the village of Creigiau near Cardiff. As a Live-In Care Professional, you will live in a client's home during your placement and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home. On this placement the Live-in Care Professional sleeps in the annexe, which comprises a bedroom, a small living area, and an en-suite shower room. Work is currently scheduled on a 1 week ON/1 week OFF basis with handover 11:30/12:00 on Tuesdays. Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure. This role is UK based and the right to work in the UK will need to be established as part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of non-medical services to help the client remain independent in their own home; live in the client's home during placement; drive the client to local appointments and shops; provide active support for 10 hours a day between 09:00 and 21:30 with a 2 hour break between 14:00 and 16:00 daily; undertake required training

Requirements

Experience of working as a Live-in Care Assistant (essential); experience working with individuals living with Dementia; driver with own car (with business insurance) (essential); excellent level of spoken and written English; ability to be flexible on placement length; passion for supporting others; reliable, trustworthy and respectful; enjoys building professional friendships and is comfortable spending time in the company of others; right to work in the UK
