Locum Neurology Physician

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a 13 week locum Neurology Physician job in Washington, paying $235/hr - $250/hr.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases and multiple sclerosis; Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs and lumbar punctures; Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary; Provide emergency care and manage critical situations effectively; Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Requirements

ACLS; BLS; Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school; Residency training program in neurology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); Fellowship in a subspecialty of neurology may be required; Board certification in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP); Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington; At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting; Comprehensive knowledge of neurological diseases and disorders and their diagnostic and therapeutic approaches; Ability to interpret complex neurological data; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in performing and interpreting neurological assessments and procedures; Collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team; Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams
