Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you’ll support the manufacturing and packaging of copper tube products while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and quality-focused production environment. This position operates in a unionized manufacturing environment and involves routine, hands-on production and assembly work.

Responsibilities

Assembling products or components using manual and machine-assisted processes; Performing production tasks such as inspecting, sorting, packaging, labeling, trimming, tying, snipping, or preparing materials; Operating basic manufacturing or packaging equipment; Making minor equipment adjustments within the scope of the position; Monitoring product quality and reporting defects or equipment concerns to supervision; Completing routine workstation cleaning and basic preventive maintenance tasks; Moving materials, products, assemblies, or equipment to support production flow; Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area; Following plant safety requirements, established work instructions, and applicable CBA provisions; Performing other related duties assigned to support production operations

Requirements

Ability to follow standardized work instructions and established safety procedures; Dependability and the ability to meet attendance and shift requirements; Ability to perform repetitive, production-paced work while maintaining attention to safety and quality; Basic mechanical aptitude; Ability to work effectively as part of a team; Willingness to learn and rotate between assigned production tasks

Nice to have

Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, warehouse, packaging, or other hands-on experience is helpful but not required
