Machine Operator Shift Lead

In this role, you will support daily production operations by coordinating workflow, training and assisting employees, and serving as a liaison between production employees and the Shift Supervisor. Schedule: Third Shift: 11:50 PM – 8:00 AM (Overtime/weekend work may be required).

Responsibilities

Coordinate employee assignments to support production needs and workflow; Train new Machine Operators and provide ongoing guidance and support to production employees; Assist employees with work instructions, change instructions, and established operating procedures; Support the implementation and consistent application of standard operating procedures (SOPs); Monitor production activities to promote efficiency and minimize non-maintenance downtime; Ensure production work meets established quality standards; Verify required production information is accurately recorded and reported; Monitor employee compliance with required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures; Lead and support 5S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment; Help develop operator capability and flexibility through training and cross-training; Serve as a liaison between production employees and the Shift Supervisor, communicating operational needs, concerns, and issues as appropriate; Model professional communication, teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures; Assist the Shift Supervisor with production-related responsibilities as needed; Perform Machine Operator responsibilities and provide production coverage as needed; Other duties as assigned.

Nice to have

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred; Machine Operator experience or demonstrated production operations knowledge preferred
