Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

Mechanical maintenance of motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.; Electrical work on motors, sensors, valves, control gear, servos, instrumentation, power distribution and safety systems; Fault-finding, root cause analysis and delivering effective fixes; Selecting the right parts and coordinating with stores to maintain stock levels; Suggesting improvements to boost uptime, safety and quality across the plant; Providing technical support to operators and assisting with commissioning new equipment; Maintaining control and weighing equipment

Requirements

Recognised engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering; Confident using CMMS systems; Experience with automated machinery; Strong diagnostic skills and effective corrective maintenance; Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings
