Mammography Tech

As a Mammography Tech, you play a vital role in providing high-quality breast imaging services under the guidance of a Radiologist. Your expertise directly supports physicians in diagnosing and evaluating pathological conditions, contributing to early detection and improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by physicians; Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning; Ensure adherence to safety practices and department protocols; Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements; Complete required continuing medical education to stay current with industry standards

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and ARRT (M) certified (or registry eligible); If registry eligible, must obtain ARRT (M) within 12 months of hire

Nice to have

Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging; Familiarity with MQSA and regulatory compliance
