Manager - Social Work - FT - Days - MRH

The Social Work Manager ensures the provision of social work services by managing the daily operations of Social Workers including community resource planning and clinical interventions. The Manager provides clinical supervision and leadership of Social Workers as they provide the highest quality of family centered care to patients and families. The Manager ensures compliance and accountability of all functions and services of Social Work role within the facility. Assists patients and their families with access to an optimal level of health care through service, integrity, social justice, and dignity, through community resources appropriate to their psychosocial and health related social needs based on developmental age.

Responsibilities

Manages daily operations of Social Workers including community resource planning and clinical interventions; Provides clinical supervision and leadership of Social Workers; Ensures compliance and accountability of all functions and services of Social Work; Develops, implements, reports, and follows up on social service initiatives; Coordinates resources and work assignments to meet performance targets; Responsible for people management lifecycle including onboarding, training, coaching, performance management and professional licensure development; Develops and initiates psychosocial plan of care with patient, family and medical team; Ensures staff adherence to policies and procedures; Completes administrative role through budgeting, audits, attendance, payroll, scheduling; Provides clinical supervision to Social Work staff; Collaborates with state protection agencies and law enforcement; Completes outreach with community providers and coordinates education of resources

Requirements

Masters: Social Work (Required); Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in the area of Social Work; At least two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting; Strong analytical and decision-making skills; Critical thinking skills; Effective communication skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; Competencies: accountability, analysis and decision making, clinical policies and standards, customer service, patient and family centered care, responding to change, standards of behavior, teamwork
