Material Handler

Avantor is looking for a Material Handler to expedite the movement of parts and material between production areas by moving raw materials and/or parts. The Material Handler prepares and coordinates schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and regulate production floor space. They also safely operate appropriate equipment (forklifts, hoists, crane, etc.) required to move materials along production floor. This role will be a full-time position based out of our Suwanee, GA office. Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm

Responsibilities

Inbound: unload trucks, trailers, containers of freight, counting products, comparing to manifest; Order picking: ensure correct product number, quantity and type; Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment; Outbound: compare quantity, labeling and address with order; Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion; Keep accurate records and reports; Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts; Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Related experience to include operating powered equipment: i.e. reach trucks and order pickers; Must be able to use proper techniques to lift up to 75 pounds; Ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety; Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements; Familiarity with warehouse systems

Nice to have

High School education or GED preferred; OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus
