Mechanical Assembler

Location: City of Industry. Job Duties include: An assembler needs to follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to their next order. Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom). Start with the external assembly process. Place Knob/lever on worktable. Attach plastic washers and grease needs to be added. Place shims, plates, and springs. (Depending on requested item). Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function (verify that installation is not too tight nor to lose). Add springs/spindles to the handle (make adjustments as needed). Proceed with assembling the inside component. Trainees must complete Hour by Hour sheet, with dates, times, and discrepancies throughout the process. Maintain a clean workstation throughout entire shift.

Requirements

Meet productivity goals, 22 pairs an hour; Meet quality goals; Must be willing to work in a fast paced, intense environment; Must be able to work independently; Work varied hours as required; Must demonstrate a good work ethic; Employee frequently is required to walk or stand for long periods of time; Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
