Mechanical BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)

As a Mechanical Engineer with strong BIM expertise, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and under the guidance of the Lead Engineer, you will develop coordinated, data-rich BIM models and contribute to innovative, high-quality mechanical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate and optimise mechanical BIM models and service installation drawings; Ensure initial space reservations, multidisciplinary integration, and support clash detection and model coordination using tools such as Revit and Revizto; Coordinate mechanical building services design, integrating functionality, installation, maintenance and accessibility requirements into models; Work closely with Mechanical, Plumbing and multidisciplinary project teams; Drive BIM innovation and digital engineering, proposing and developing innovative BIM solutions and improving design automation; Ensure quality and technical excellence, collaborating with Project Engineers and BIM Coordinators and reviewing the work of junior Mechanical Engineers and BIM Modelers; Support successful project delivery and knowledge sharing across international teams; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; Travel internationally when required; Design and delivery of Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) projects under the guidance of the Lead Engineer

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Mid-level) or master's degree (Senior-level) in Mechanical Engineering; at least 4 years of relevant consulting engineering experience; Strong expertise in Mechanical, HVAC and Plumbing engineering, with experience in building projects; Proficiency in BIM and Revit; Experience using Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Forma; Experience with digital design and automation tools such as Dynamo, Python and Rhino Inside Revit; Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (C1 minimum)

Nice to have

Certifications in Revit are a plus; Industrial or mission critical/data centre project experience is an advantage; Spanish is preferred; Dutch and/or German are considered an advantage
