Mechanical & Plumbing Construction Project Manager

This is a full-time permanent direct placement opportunity. Seeking a project manager that is experienced in leading commercial mechanical & plumbing construction projects with full ownership throughout. Our client is an established firm specializing in commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects across MD, VA, and DC. Responsibilities

Lead project buyout processes through to project closeout with full financial and operational accountability; Own project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete, change orders, and cash flow management; Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, with a focus on technical ownership; Oversee equipment procurement, manage delivery schedules, and ensure specialty subcontractor performance; Drive BIM coordination and prefabrication planning to enhance field installation efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

5+ years of experience in mechanical and plumbing construction project management; Proven track record of managing mechanical & plumbing projects from buyout to closeout with complete ownership; Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, hydronic systems, plumbing, medical gas, and related equipment; Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); Familiarity with BIM coordination tools (Navisworks, Revit, or similar)

Nice to have

Field or trade background in plumbing, pipefitting, HVAC mechanics, or hands-on mechanical & plumbing installation experience; Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; Equivalent experience will be considered
