Medical Lab Scientist II, Part-time, Days, Baptist Downtown

Baptist Health is looking to add a highly motivated and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team working in the Core Lab at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a part-time opportunity. This Medical Laboratory Scientist II position will be located in our Core Lab at Baptist Downtown.

Responsibilities

Maintaining expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in laboratory areas where applicable; Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals; Supervising MLTs as General Supervisor and serving as Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs; May instruct new employees and students; Working with Beckman Instruments and the automation line for chemistry, hematology and coagulation instruments

Requirements

2 years Medical Technologist experience; Associate's Degree required; Licensed Medical Technologist in the State of Florida required in Chemistry and Hematology; Licensed Medical Technologist or Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician required; Trained in chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, hematology and some serology; Comfortable working closely with a team of 7-8 Medical Technologists and four Specimen Processors

Nice to have

Bachelor's Degree preferred; Certified Medical Technologist (MT) preferred; Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
