Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

The A/C Maintenance Engineer at Mitie is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and inspections of air conditioning systems across multiple sites; Ensure compliance with F-gas regulations and all relevant standards; Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; Perform refrigerant leak testing and recovery; Complete all required documentation related to maintenance and compliance; Work in line with health and safety procedures; Liaise effectively with clients, customers, and contractors; Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support the wider team as needed

Requirements

Strong technical background including a Level 3 Diploma and relevant NVQ certifications in refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems; F-gas Category 1 certification; Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience; Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites; Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities; Clear communication skills; Ability to assess and report on equipment condition; Proactive approach to both independent and team-based work
