MRI Technologist

Deliver diagnostic excellence—producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion while keeping patients calm and cared for through every scan. At SimonMed, MRI is not a modality for the passive or the impatient. Our MRI Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From brain and spine to cardiac and MSK protocols, this role demands that precision, physics knowledge, and people skills all show up at the same time, every time.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images; Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition; Evaluate own work before it reaches a radiologist; Enforce MRI safety zones Zone I through Zone IV; Screen patients thoroughly and assess contrast contraindications; Monitor patients during procedures; Maintain clean, complete, and current patient documentation; Manage own workflow and perform routine quality control checks; Position patients comfortably and explain procedures; Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population; Mentor new staff and students

Requirements

ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification; Valid state licensure current (where required); Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current; Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program; MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature; Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems; Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment; Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates; Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline; Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
