MRI Technologist

Deliver diagnostic excellence—producing high-resolution MRI images with precision, safety, and compassion while keeping patients calm and cared for through every scan.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images; Select the right imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition; Evaluate own work before it reaches a radiologist; Enforce MRI safety zones and screening protocols; Screen thoroughly, assess contrast contraindications, and monitor patients during procedures; Manage own workflow, perform routine quality control checks, and maintain equipment; Ensure correct and comfortable patient positioning, explain procedures, and provide calm; Mentor staff and students

Requirements

ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required; Valid state licensure current (where required); Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current; Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program; MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature; Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems; Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment; Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates; Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline; Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Nice to have

1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred
