New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) – Stroke/Tele Unit

9A is a vibrant 24-bed neurological telemetry unit specializing in adult and geriatric inpatient care. As the designated Comprehensive Stroke Care Unit by The Joint Commission, 9A stands at the forefront of cutting-edge stroke management and neuro care. Our patient population includes those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks, encephalopathy, and other complex neurological conditions. This diversity offers nurses the opportunity to deepen their clinical expertise and sharpen their critical thinking skills every day. On 9A, nurses are empowered to master advanced clinical skills such as: Central line dressing changes, Foley catheter management, Dobhoff tube placement and care, Tracheostomy care, IV therapy and more. Responsibilities

As a skilled and compassionate RN, play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
