New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Unit

5 Tower is a med/surg unit specializing in GI and head and neck surgeries. This unit works with many surgery groups specializing in the following surgeries: tracheostomies, laryngectomies, hernia repairs, colo-rectal surgery, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, ostomy takedowns, as well as other procedures. Patients typically have drains, wound vacs, and Foley catheters.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process; Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication to lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
