Non-CDL Driver - 1st Shift 2AM to 12PM - 6849

Daniels Health is offering a $1,000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward! We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Hayward, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

Responsibilities

Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites; Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships; Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions; Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise; Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule; Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately; Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections; Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems; Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes

Requirements

Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week; Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations; Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse; A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus; Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks); Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections; Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3; Proven longevity in past employment; On time delivery practices; Must be willing to work 1 Saturday per month

Nice to have

Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
