Nurse Clinician- Eating Disorder Clinic

Children’s Wisconsin is excited to introduce this newly created nursing role within our Eating Disorder Treatment Clinic, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate patient care, education, and care coordination while helping shape the future of the position.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; provide compassionate patient care, education, and care coordination; help shape the future of the position; outpatient patient education; coordinating referrals; managing the in-basket; providing ongoing patient support; help define and develop workflows and responsibilities; promote optimal wellness; coordinate delivery of care; develop, implement and evaluate plan of care; communicate and educate patients, caregivers, and providers; employ educational strategies; communicate effectively using health literacy strategies; contribute to clinical practice guidelines; advocate for patients and caregivers; manage and coordinate care via telehealth

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Nursing; 2+ years Licensed nursing experience; BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council; License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin; Demonstrate proficient pediatric assessment skills utilizing a developmental approach; Ability to work with patients who have intellectual and physical disabilities; Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record; Independent judgment and analytical ability to problem solve; Requires effective and collaborative interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner; Expertise in active listening and therapeutic communication; Requires critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment

Nice to have

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; 2+ years Pediatric nursing experience; Experience managing patients with chronic and complex family and health needs
