Nursery Assistant

A friendly and well-established nursery in Bexhill is looking to grow its trusted bank of Nursery Assistants. Unlike ad-hoc supply work, this role offers the opportunity to become a familiar face within one welcoming nursery. You’ll build meaningful relationships with children and colleagues, enjoy regular shifts, and have the opportunity to progress into a permanent position if that’s something you’re looking for.

Responsibilities

Support children aged 0–5 through play-based learning and daily routines; Help create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child can thrive; Work alongside experienced Early Years practitioners to deliver engaging activities; Encourage children’s confidence, curiosity and independence; Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues; Support children’s wellbeing and development throughout the day

Requirements

Previous nursery or Early Years experience; Has a caring, enthusiastic and patient approach; Enjoys working as part of a supportive team; Is reliable, adaptable and passionate about Early Years education; Right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one); Two professional references; Understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS framework
