Nursing Home Manager

Compass Associates are delighted to be partnering with a well-established elderly care provider to recruit a Registered Home Manager for an elderly care home around the Chorley area. With excellent support from an experienced senior leadership team, the successful candidate will build upon the excellent foundations already within the home. The home provides general nursing, residential and dementia care and benefits from a Deputy Manager in post to support the daily running of the home. As the service continues to evolve, there is a clear vision to further develop, making this an exciting opportunity for a manager looking to take on a new project which focuses on delivering first class care to residents.

Responsibilities

Manage an elderly care home around the Chorley area as Registered Home Manager; Build upon excellent foundations already within the home; Deliver first class care to residents; Drive occupancy through relationship building with local stakeholders, healthcare professionals and the wider community; Balance quality care alongside effective resource management and sustainable financial performance; Continue improving performance and shape the future direction of the home

Requirements

Passion and expertise in Dementia Care; Background managing elderly nursing homes (Nurse qualified or non-nurse); Evidence of GOOD / Outstanding / Improved CQC reports; Previous experience managing an elderly nursing home; Passionate about delivering high-quality care for older people; Engaging and approachable leader; Ability to motivate established teams; Ability to build trust with residents and relatives; Ability to create a positive working environment; Strong commercial awareness; Ability to balance quality care alongside effective resource management and sustainable financial performance

Nice to have

Experience of driving occupancy through relationship building with local stakeholders, healthcare professionals and the wider community; Previous experience within dementia services or genuine enthusiasm for developing dementia care
