Occupational Therapist Part-Time

Part-time Occupational Therapist position responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration and supervision of Occupational Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and local organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. Position is 27 hours per week, benefited opportunity. Department: Thrpy-Acute-Hosp; Work Shift: Day; Job Category: Clinical Care.

Responsibilities

Evaluates patient's functional abilities and limitations, establishes plan of care and treatment goals; Implements individualized treatment plan and assesses ongoing effectiveness of treatment; Documents according to department and regulatory agency standards; Communicates patient information and progress to physicians, nurses, patients, families and the interdisciplinary team; Exhibits adaptability in assignments, caseload, scheduling and staffing shifts; Directs and delegates personnel (COTA, Therapy Technician, student) and participates in training and orientation of new personnel; Participates in department process improvements and meets productivity standards; Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families and external health care contacts

Requirements

Must have successfully completed the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy approved by the appropriate governing board; Must possess a current Occupational Therapy license from the State of practice; BLS certification required; Must have the ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment; Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment
